I’ve been following the tragic events at Cameron Crossing, and my heart goes out to Jakhala’s young children. Growing up without their mother is something no child should have to face. I can't imagine the pain her family must be feeling right now. Even more troubling is how incidents like this seem to keep happening, tearing communities apart. Has anyone thought about organizing a neighborhood watch or something similar to help prevent these acts of violence? Involving the community might make a difference, especially when it comes to gathering information to help the investigation. Also, social media can be such a powerful tool for spreading the word. If you live nearby and are able, even just sharing a post about Jakhala and Jamarcus might reach someone who knows something useful. I really hope the police are able to track down these suspects soon. It's so important for this community—and for Jakhala and Jamarcus's loved ones—that justice is served.
