I've been following the case of Keyra Wilson and something that really struck me is how vulnerable we all are to becoming victims of circumstances beyond our control. Keyra was just trying to get a bite to eat and ended up in a situation she never could have predicted. It's horrifying to think about. My heart goes out to her children and family, who must be dealing with an unimaginable loss right now. The level of chaos and violence described in the reports is hard to wrap my head around. How do disputes escalate to this point where innocent lives are lost? I hope justice is served for Keyra, and that the people charged are held accountable. But more than that, I hope her story can somehow be a catalyst for change, so fewer families have to go through such tragedies. If anyone has been following the court proceedings, I'd be really interested to hear any updates on how the community is responding to what's happened.
