I've been thinking a lot about the community near where Trevett was found, particularly the encampments for the unhoused nearby. It's such a spotlight on how vulnerable people in that area might be, not to mention the fear this might stir up among them. You never expect something like this to happen so close to home, and I can't imagine how unsettling it must be for those living nearby—both with and without permanent shelter. Trevett’s tragic death is a stark reminder of the fragile safety net in certain parts of our society. Even though the police haven't linked anyone from those encampments to his murder, I hope that they’ll consider all angles of the situation. This isn’t just about finding justice for Trevett but also about ensuring that no further violence affects the community. My thoughts are with Trevett's loved ones and everyone living in the area who may be feeling even more anxious than usual right now. If you have information, please consider coming forward—his family deserves answers and some peace of mind.
