Has anyone had a chance to closely review the bodycam footage released by the Baltimore Police Department in Dwight Hawkins' case? I watched it a few times, and I'm left with more questions than answers. It’s clear that emotions are high, and I can’t imagine the pain Dwight's family is going through. But from what's seen, it appears he did have a weapon. That said, I’m troubled by how quickly events spiraled and how multiple shots were fired. No matter the circumstances, a life was lost, and it's crucial we approach this with empathy and a demand for transparency. The involvement of Officer Rodriguez, known for another controversial shooting, adds another layer of complexity. It leaves me wondering about the protocols in place for officers with previous incidents like this. I hope the Maryland Attorney General's investigation brings about some clarity and accountability. It’s crucial for the community and for the Hawkins family to see justice served, whatever that may look like. Thoughts?
