Hey everyone, I’ve been thinking about Joanne's impact on her students and the community since I heard about this awful case. It’s just gut-wrenching to consider how a dedicated educator like her, who clearly put her heart into helping children with special needs, could have her life cut short in such a brutal way. I can’t imagine the loss felt by her family and the students she spent so much time caring for. I’m curious if there’s been any more information about her role at Merakey. From what I’ve gathered, she was quite involved and had really made a name for herself in the world of special education. It's devastating to think about how many futures she had the potential to shape and now won't get the chance to. Has anyone else come across more details about her work and the impact she had on the kids she taught? Joanne's legacy as an Education Director should be something that stays with us.
