Just heard about the tragic loss of Cornelius "Saga" Wigfall Jr., and my heart goes out to his family and friends during this incredibly difficult time. It's beyond me why someone with such a colorful personality and a legacy within his own community had to go through such violence, especially when he was seemingly trying to turn a new leaf for the sake of his family. I find it distressing that no one has been apprehended yet. With multiple people involved and such a public setting, I’d hope somebody saw something. How do you even move past that kind of fear in a community? His story is a stark reminder of how complex and difficult it can be to truly leave a troubled past behind. His determination to create a better life should not have led to this point. I hope justice is served soon and that his children and grandchildren find the support they need to cope with the tragic loss of their father and grandfather.
