I've been thinking a lot about the presence of Ahmad Khalil Barney before Nadiya was tragically killed. From what I've read, he was spotted in an area not too far from the crime scene just hours after the incident. It makes me wonder if it was just a coincidence that Barney ended up being arrested so close to the wooded area near Jordan and Shields roads. I can't help but think about how everyone in the Candlewood community might be feeling right now. Imagine the shock of knowing someone in your area might've played a role in something so awful. My thoughts are totally with Nadiya's family, friends, and all the students at Alabama A&M who knew and loved her. And I'm hoping that justice will be served swiftly, as this is something that no community should ever have to endure. Anyone else have any insight into the community's response or how they've been coping with this devastating event?
