Hey everyone, I've been following Jessica Hardy's case closely, and I can't stop thinking about how complex and chilling the whole situation is. I wanted to talk about something that's really been bothering me: the background and prior history of Jesse Wilson. It's deeply unsettling to learn that he had a previous murder conviction dating back to 1983 in Savannah, Georgia, which got overturned due to a trial error. How was he not retried, especially given the gravity of the crime?
It just raises so many questions for me about the justice system and how someone like Wilson could remain a potential threat for so long. I can’t help but feel for Jessica's family, knowing this could have been avoided. Does this highlight a bigger issue within the criminal justice system where past offenders slip through the cracks only to end up committing more crimes? It’s just so disheartening to think about what could have been different. Thoughts?
