It's terrifying to think about the fear and panic those commuters must have felt on I-55 that morning, not knowing if they'd make it to work or home again. My thoughts are with the injured victims—I hope they find strength and healing after this traumatic ordeal. It's unsettling that someone like Julian Ellis, just 31 and presumably living an ordinary life in Memphis, could reach such a point of desperation or rage. The line from the witness, "It could've been any of us," really struck a chord with me. It's a chilling reminder of how random and unpredictable these acts of violence can be. I think about all the people who might now feel anxious every time they drive down that stretch of highway. I sincerely hope the investigators can piece together what drove Ellis to such a devastating act—perhaps understanding his motive could help prevent future tragedies. Let's keep the victims and their families in our thoughts as they navigate the aftermath of this senseless act.
