I just can't stop thinking about how Deonna Russell must have felt in those final moments. Trying to protect her children from a nightmare that no one should ever have to endure, especially from someone who was once so close. It's terrifying to imagine being chased by someone you thought you knew, the father of your kids, no less. My heart goes out to their children who now have to grow up with this memory. I can't fathom the trauma they'll face and the questions they'll have. I hope they receive all the love and support they need as they navigate a future without their mom and grandparents. If anyone has resources or knows ways to support children in these situations, it might really make a difference for them. Let's keep them in our thoughts.
