I've recently been revisiting the tragic story of Lynette Culver, and one detail that's been gnawing at me is the bus she supposedly boarded towards Fort Hall. Does anyone have more information about whether this lead was thoroughly pursued back in '75? Given how quickly law enforcement pivoted from a runaway theory to potential foul play, it makes me wonder about the bus sightings and if eyewitnesses were properly vetted at the time. It’s also curious, considering Bundy's eventual confession, if this bus sighting was part of some misdirection or if it was purely coincidental. The haunting persistence of her father and grandfather searching for every possible clue is truly commendable, but it leaves this nagging suspicion that we might still be missing a piece of the puzzle. Could there have been a connection between the routes Bundy took and any stopovers in Fort Hall, or was this just a red herring in the early investigation? This element of the case is so frustratingly murky. I feel for Lynette’s family, having to endure such an agonizing mystery for so many decades. I hope we can continue to shed light on these cold facts and maybe, one day, give Lynette the justice and peace she deserves. Looking forward to hearing everyone’s thoughts or any additional insights into the bus angle.
