I’ve been following the case of Jonathan Pitts, and my heart goes out to his family during this incredibly challenging time. One aspect of this tragic event that caught my attention is the role of the ShotSpotter technology. It makes me wonder how different things might have been if the technology hadn’t been there to alert the police so quickly. I've read mixed opinions about its reliability, but in this case, it seems to have worked as intended. It's chilling to think how vital those minutes were in responding to the gunfire. Also, I just can’t shake the thought of how this must have completely changed the dynamic at Playmakers Sports Bar that night. It’s usually a place where people go to enjoy a game and hang out with friends, not where you'd expect such violence. Just feel terrible for everyone who was there and witnessed this horrifying event, as it's bound to leave a lasting impact on them. If anyone has more insights or thoughts about how the community is coping, I'd love to hear. Keeping Jonathan’s family and loved ones in my thoughts.
