It's so deeply unsettling to think about how something so horrific could happen in a place like Rome Heights and to someone as gentle as Harold Moore. I've been thinking a lot about the neighbor who found him. I can’t even imagine the trauma of stumbling onto such a scene. Props to them for having the courage to act quickly and get the authorities involved. It must have been a nightmare. I hope they are receiving the support they need to process this while also assisting the investigation. It’s moments like these that remind you how important it is to look out for one another. Just knowing their actions might have helped lead to an arrest is something that could hopefully bring some comfort amid all the chaos. Sending love to everyone impacted; it has to be such a hard time right now.
