I've been thinking so much about the sequence of events that led up to this tragedy in Sarasota and Fort Lauderdale. It's chilling to think how quickly everything unfolded. The community must be in shock. What's particularly haunting is the video footage of Kot entering the area. Security cameras unintentionally captured a snapshot of a man on a mission to commit such horrendous acts. This kind of evidence really makes you appreciate the technology that helps law enforcement piece things together, but it's also so eerie to think about the moments captured just before everything changed. We often picture gated communities as safe havens, but this murders spree shattered that illusion. Thinking about Larisa Blyudaya’s family and friends, I can't even wrap my head around the devastation they must be feeling right now. Losing not just one, but multiple loved ones in such a violent way is beyond comprehension. One can only hope the community rallies around the surviving family to show them support and help them through this incredibly tough time.
