Has anyone else been concerned about the level of security at the Quilox Lounge? I can't stop thinking about how someone managed to get a firearm into the club without being detected. Especially after everything that happened to Sheriff Shittu, it seems like such a preventable tragedy. Sheriff was just there celebrating with his friends and trying to keep his loved ones safe. It's horrifying to think that a space that's supposed to be for fun and socializing could turn into a scene of violence so quickly. I really feel for Shittu's family and his brother who was with him that night. It must be incredibly painful, especially for his mother, arriving just to find out about her son's passing. I hope the NYC authorities dig deeply into what went wrong with the security measures and that the Quilox Lounge takes steps to ensure nothing like this happens again. We owe it to people like Sheriff to have safer spaces and a community that doesn't tolerate this kind of violence. Does anyone have updates on what the lounge or local officials are planning to do moving forward?
