Just read about the tragedy outside the Spotlight Lounge, and my heart goes out to the families of Quiade Daniels and Vermonte Blair. It's so frustrating and upsetting to see such violence shatter lives and communities. I've spent a lot of time in Northside, and it's generally a vibrant, welcoming area, which makes this even more unsettling. I know there's been a lot of focus on the bar and the environment around there lately. For those of us who care about this community, it's a wake-up call to rally together and push for necessary changes. We need to make our streets safer for everyone, especially at night. I hope the police can get to the bottom of this quickly and that justice is served for Quiade and Vermonte. If anyone reading this has any information, now is the time to step up and help the investigation. Sending strength and condolences to all affected. Stay safe, everyone.
