I'm still trying to wrap my head around the tragedy of Addi Smith and her mom, Tawnia McGeehan. It's hard to fathom how a weekend meant for joy and spirit turned into something so awful. I read that a note was found in the hotel room, but nothing has been released about what it said. I can't stop wondering what it contained and if it might bring any sense or insight to what happened. It seems there were underlying issues with that custody battle, but it's so hard to know what's truly going on behind closed doors. My heart really goes out to Addi's teammates and friends who expected to cheer with her, not mourn her. Sending love and strength to everyone affected by this tragedy. ?
