Just came across the case of Detoine Melton, and I can't get over how his death hasn't gotten the attention it deserves. It's so frustrating to see yet another life taken by gun violence, especially when the victim is someone young like Detoine. What's really been eating at me is the location of his death—why the backyard of a residence on Deforest Street? Was he meeting someone there? Or maybe he was trying to escape from something? It feels like there are so many possible scenarios, yet we have so few answers. I really feel for Detoine's family and friends. They must be living a nightmare, not just with their grief but also with all these unresolved questions. I hope the Richmond police are able to uncover more evidence soon and bring some closure to those who cared about him. It’s crucial that community members or anyone with any information come forward to help solve this case. Detoine deserves justice, and his loved ones need peace.
