I can't even begin to imagine the pain River's family must be going through right now. It's so incredibly sad to hear about such a young life lost in such a preventable way. Reading about River's mom describing the pure love between him and his dad just makes this all the more gut-wrenching. Someone mentioned in another thread the need for comprehensive gun safety education, and I couldn't agree more. This incident really highlights how important it is for gun owners to be hyper-aware of their firearms, especially around children. I’m wondering if there are community resources that can help families protect their kids better. It's devastating but hopefully, some good can come out of it in terms of awareness. Sending thoughts and prayers to everyone affected by this tragedy.
