Hey all, I've been following the Carver shooting case since it happened, and I can't get over how senseless this act of violence was. Anyone else hear about how Jalen, “Buku tensai” to his fans, was really getting some traction with his music before this happened? It's such a gut punch to think he had so much ahead of him and was well-loved in his community. I saw his GoFundMe page, and it's touching to see people coming together to help his family during such a difficult time. What really struck me is how this all happened at a child's birthday party. It makes me wonder about the long-term impact on all those who were there, especially the kids. These events can be really traumatic, and it’s hard to imagine the young ones processing such an experience. Sending all my thoughts to Jalen’s family, friends, and everyone affected. If anyone has ideas on how to support families and communities during such tragedies, I’d love to hear them. Hug your loved ones a little tighter tonight.
