I've been thinking a lot about the impact this crime must have had on the community where Amanda lived. It's so unsettling to think about how a peaceful Sunday evening could turn into such a tragedy. It really underscores how disconnected these violent acts can feel from everyday life. My heart goes out to the neighbors and friends who have to process that such violence erupted right next door. Does anyone know if there are plans for a community vigil or some way to support those who are grieving or in shock from this? Sometimes these gestures can help build a sense of healing and solidarity.
