I can't stop thinking about the neighbors and how they're coping after everything that happened on 7th Avenue. It's unimaginable to think of living nearby and waking up one morning to find out something so terrible happened just a few doors away. I read that Thomas and Brianna were well-known in the area as a quiet couple who mostly kept to themselves, but still, communities like that tend to have a close-knit feel. Having such a tragedy occur right on their doorstep must be an overwhelming burden of grief and confusion. I wonder if there’s any kind of community support being offered to help those who are struggling to come to terms with what happened. Being reminded every day about the loss and the child, whose life was just beginning—it's a weight that shouldn't be shouldered alone. If anyone in the area knows of any efforts to help neighbors process this or if there are ways people can contribute, maybe by setting up a counseling group or a memorial, it would be a kindness worth sharing.
