I was doing some research on missing persons cases in Michigan when I stumbled across Lynn Splane's case. It's haunting how someone can just vanish without a trace, especially in such a public area like the Mackinac Bridge. I know they suspect he might have jumped, but what puzzles me is the lack of any evidence ever surfacing. It's such a busy area with all that water traffic; surely something should have come up by now, right? Makes me wonder if there could be any other explanation for his disappearance. Anyone from the area remember if there was any odd activity or rumors going around at the time? Sometimes those local tidbits can make all the difference in these mysteries.
