I can't stop thinking about what a vibrant and talented young woman she was, especially with her passion for music and cosmetology. It breaks my heart knowing she had dreams of opening her own salon and how she was already making a name for herself in the local music scene. What stands out to me is the escalation after breaking up with Orpi. This kind of behavior speaks to larger issues of stalking and domestic violence that aren't talked about nearly enough. It must have been terrifying for Aileen, feeling like she had to consider changing her phone number just to get some peace. It's such a poignant reminder of how important it is for us, as a society, to support those in similar situations and push for stronger preventative measures.
