I’ve been thinking a lot about the role that security and surveillance might play in this investigation. Given that the Sinking Ship parking garage is a well-known location in Seattle’s Pioneer Square, you’d hope that it’s equipped with a decent amount of CCTV coverage. I’m curious whether there’s any footage from that night which might shed light on what actually happened. I can only imagine how devastating this is for Mhaniq Wilkerson’s family and friends, who are left with so many unanswered questions. It must be incredibly difficult not knowing exactly who was responsible and how things escalated so quickly. Anyone around the area that night who might have seen or heard anything—please come forward. It could make a world of difference in piecing this tragedy together.
