Hey everyone,
I’ve been following the case of Maurilio Ramírez Aguilar closely, and there's one thing that keeps bugging me. Has anyone else noticed the lack of media coverage around it? I understand it was back in 1970, but even so, the disappearance of a leader like Ramírez should have attracted more attention, right?
There are countless reports of missing persons, but the unique cultural and spiritual significance of his journey to Wirikuta seems like it should have raised more flags. The silence from larger media outlets is frustrating, especially considering the implications for indigenous communities across Mexico. It's almost like his story falls into a gap that the mainstream media chooses to ignore. What do you all think – is it a broader issue of media representation for indigenous communities?
I'm curious if anyone has come across any local or smaller news articles from that time that might offer more insight. Would love to hear your thoughts.
