Has anyone else been following the case of the man who went missing while crossing the border from Sonoyta, Sonora into Arizona? I've been reading up on it, and one detail caught my attention: his phone last pinged near the Lukeville crossing before it went completely dark. It’s such a remote area with so little surveillance coverage, which makes it even trickier for authorities. I wonder if there's a chance he could have wandered off the main paths to avoid checkpoints and got lost? Or maybe his phone died around that time, making it hard for anyone to track his movements. It just feels like there are so many unknowns with border crossings, especially in those sparsely populated areas. There’s not much info that's been released recently, but hoping someone might have local insight or ideas.
Has anyone been following the case of the man who disappeared crossing the border near Sonoyta, Sonora? I’ve been reading up on it, and something that's been bugging me is just how desolate that area is. The terrain is so rugged, and it's incredibly remote—seems like a really risky place for anyone to travel alone. I keep thinking, did he have someone with him, or was he truly on his own? Are there any reports of him meeting up with someone on either side of the border? I know border crossings can sometimes involve local guides or even just good Samaritans willing to offer a hand, but in such a deserted area, who really knows. It's such a vast and open space, almost like he could have just vanished into thin air. Would love to hear if anyone has theories or more info.
