Has anyone else been following the aftermath of Jorey Anderson's case and the mental health angle? I read that the surviving victim, the 16-year-old, has been deeply affected by the incident. It's understandable given the trauma of witnessing the tragic events unfold, but it also got me thinking about how essential psychological support is for young people who experience such traumatic events. The community of Milwaukee seems to have come together to support Jorey's family, but I'm hoping there are resources being offered to the surviving teen as well. Such horrific incidents can alter a young person's life permanently, and it would be terrible to see more lives affected because of inadequate mental health support. Does anyone know if local organizations or the school district are stepping up to provide counseling or other forms of help? It would be reassuring to hear if programs are in place for the youth.

I recently read about the tragic incident involving Jorey Anderson and Zy'Kerion Teague, and I can't shake the thought of how drastically their families' lives must have changed in the blink of an eye. My heart goes out to them as they navigate this unthinkable loss. I’ve been trying to wrap my mind around why Jorey, such a young soul with his whole future ahead, was involved in this situation. It's an unsettling reminder of how quickly life can spiral out of control, especially for teens who might find themselves in the wrong place at the wrong time. Does anyone else feel like there are deeper systemic issues at play here? It seems like young people are getting caught up in cycles of violence that feel so preventable. I’m not from Milwaukee, but I can’t help but think about what more could be done in communities everywhere to support youth and prevent tragedies like this. I hope the investigation gets to the bottom of what led to such a loss, not only to seek justice but also to foster some change to keep this from happening in the future.
