Did anyone else catch the press conference from the Central Falls Police today? I was hoping we’d get more information, but it kind of felt like more of the same. They mentioned they’re still working through various leads, but it doesn’t seem like they’re any closer to making an arrest. It’s just so frustrating knowing Nayasia's family is still waiting for justice.
There was a mention about a potential link to a string of similar incidents in the area, which could suggest a pattern or possibly even gang-related activity. Does anyone have thoughts on that? Could we be looking in the wrong place if we're focusing purely on gangs, or does this seem plausible given the circumstances?
My heart goes out to Nayasia's mom, who is incredibly brave to be pushing for legal reforms during this difficult time. If there's anything we can do, more than just sending our thoughts, maybe it’s asking local reps to support her advocacy. It's the least we can do, not just for Nayasia, but to make sure tragedies like this are taken seriously.

Unfortunately, there was no press conference for Nayasia and the news media has made it impossible to get coverage. I post about Nayasia Everyday on my social media pages. A few influencers have posted about the incident to raise awareness and support the NyNyslaw movement. The city actually requested I not speak on what happened because this shooting was the result of retaliation to the boyfriend. Although the media and city say it was targeted, Nayasia was an innocent bystander. I get treated like a suspect and there is a lack of transparency and communication. One day I will get to grieve, until than, at day 300-the fight for Justice and change continues. I appreciate your support.

You are victimized again by the very people that should be supporting you. Keep up the fight. I know it is hard. I am praying you find the peace and justice you are looking for.

I can't stop thinking about the impact Nayasia had on the younger generation in Central Falls, especially through her work at AS220. Mentoring kids in dance and sharing her passion must have been such a fulfilling experience for her, and it’s so touching to hear how she influenced those kids' lives. It’s tragic to consider that her presence is no longer with us, but her legacy through these children will carry on. I hope those who knew her can continue to dance in her honor and keep her spirit alive through the art she loved so much. It’s also moving to see the community rallying around her family with the scholarship fund. If anyone knows more about how we can contribute to that or how they’re planning to select students, please share. Let's make sure her dream of helping others continues on.

Hello, I am hosting an event on November 29, 2026 from 6pm to 10pm in honor of Nayasia aka NyNy. I\'ve spent 300 days visiting the cemetery, I\'ve spent Christmas, New Years, Easter, Mother\'s Day, and her 20th Birthday at the cemetery. On the anniversary of her transition to the higher power, I want to celebrate her life, her light and her bright spirit. I am awarding a scholarship to a college student in the nursing program as that is what she wanted to be. I have already selected the individual. I am also awarding a scholarship to a student in the arts as that is where she shared her passion for dance and music.

My family and I are broken beyond words that can be explained. I\'ve channeled my pain into NyNyslaw, however, great things don\'t come easy. Change is hard, creating laws is hard, however, Nayasia put me up for the challenge in a dream where she said' get up mother and fight!! Do not stay silent, get loud and make sure you create change that will help another family. Don\'t let the world forgot about the innocent, about victims, about hurting families, about me - your baby girl.

So everyday, with about 2-3 hours of scattered naps, I pretend Nayasia is away on a long trip so that I don't face the reality of what has transpired. Thank you to the "NyNySquad", strangers and family. Your support is unmatched.
