I still can't wrap my head around this tragedy at the Monkey Space venue. It's deeply sorrowful, especially for those who knew Journey and her cousin Maya. It's hard not to think about the chaos that must have erupted at what was supposed to be a joyful birthday party for a 2-year-old. I'm particularly moved by the thought of family members desperately trying to protect their children from harm. Imagining the loving arms of parents and relatives as they shielded little ones from danger brings tears to my eyes. From what the reports are saying, this attack must have been planned with its terrifying execution. It's frightening that an event designed for children and families could become the setting for such violence. My thoughts are with everyone present that day, especially those who were injured and the families of those who lost their lives. I really hope the investigation brings justice swiftly. This community has suffered a great wound, and every step toward clarity and accountability is crucial for healing.
