I’ve been following this case closely, and one detail that’s really bothering me is how the weapon was accessed. It’s unsettling to think that Robert Davis used a firearm that belonged to his sister, who was living in the same house. I can’t help but wonder about the circumstances around the storage and security of that gun. Was it easily accessible to anyone in the household, or did Robert go to some lengths to acquire it? It’s just a devastating situation for the entire family, especially since the sister inadvertently played a part due to her firearm being used. I imagine she must be feeling an overwhelming mix of emotions, from grief for losing her nephew to shock and disappointment in her brother’s actions. I truly hope they have the support and guidance they need to navigate this terrible time. Anyone have thoughts on firearm safety in shared homes or experienced something similar? How do you balance accessibility and security when there are multiple adults in one household?
