I recently stumbled upon something that really adds another layer to this outrage. Did anyone else hear about the city being at odds with the Evangadi Hookah Lounge long before Khalif's tragic demise? It really seems like the place was on thin ice with officials. Operating after hours might've been risky, but it's hard to fathom this kind of violence erupting out of it. Khalif was just trying to help out a friend by being there. What a difficult position to be in. One can't help but think if things might've been different if the lounge had adhered to the regulations more strictly. This doesn't lessen the blame on the shooter, of course, but it's one of those "what if" aspects that's been bugging me. I hope justice comes swift for Khalif and his family. No one deserves this. Anyone have thoughts on whether this narrative about the lounge's operations might influence the case?
