I can’t get Tina Spencer out of my mind ever since I heard about this terrible event in Rocky Mount. It’s just so hard to imagine that someone so well-loved and known for her kindness met such a violent end. For those of us in the community, it's tough coming to terms with it. I worked with Tina at James River Equipment, and she was always the person you could count on – whether it was fixing something around the office or just checking in to see how your day was going. I feel deeply for her kids and family, and it’s hard not to feel a sense of guilt in not noticing any signs that could have helped prevent this tragedy. The pain for her family must be indescribable, and I hope they can find some peace in knowing how cherished she was by everyone around her. The community is rallying together for them, which I hope brings a small comfort amid the grief.
