Just came across this tragic news about Keyon Smith, known to many as "Cheetah," who was shot on Rosalie Avenue near that barbershop we all know. As someone who grew up around East Baltimore, it's tough to hear about another young life ending this way. I remember Keyon being a standout football player at St. Frances Academy. He was one of those people who seemed to have a natural way of lifting up the community, whether it was through his business or just sharing a laugh. I noticed that the weather was pretty awful that night—cold, snowy, and rainy, which makes me wonder if anyone else was out there who might have seen something that could help solve this case. It’s hard to imagine something like this happening on what was otherwise a quiet evening. If anyone has more information about what might have been going on in the area that night or anything about the dispute allegedly stressing him out, please share or reach out to the Baltimore PD. We owe it to his family, especially his kids, to help bring them some closure.
