Hey everyone, I've been following the tragic case of Zysean Owten, and I want to talk about something that really struck me—the community response after this heartbreaking incident. The vigil held in his memory was incredibly touching. Seeing the community come together, with family members, friends, and even strangers lighting candles and sharing stories about a child who brought so much light into their lives, really illustrated how deeply he was loved. Some community leaders also called for stricter gun safety protocols, which is definitely a conversation we need to keep having given the series of gun-related tragedies in our country. I can't help but admire the resilience and solidarity displayed by the Milwaukee community. In the midst of their grief, they are taking steps to advocate for change—something Zysean would surely have been proud of. It’s moments like these that remind us all of the power of community action and the importance of continuing to push for safer environments for our children.
