Has anyone checked any recent updates on heat signatures in the area where Esau was last seen? I've been following this case closely, and given the harsh desert conditions, it feels like something that would be vital in aiding any search and rescue efforts. I know the group mentioned they left him at "cerro de las chichis," but with the scorching summer temperatures, especially near Gila Bend, the terrain could be particularly unforgiving. Also, does anyone know if they’ve expanded the search radius considering he might have been operating under the alias "Agustin Sanchez Nava"? It’s concerning that the person who went back did not make it due to diabetes—it just goes to show how dangerous these conditions can be. Any insights or theories on what more can be done to locate Esau?
Has anyone looked into whether "Cerro de las Chichis" is a well-known spot for border crossers? I haven't been able to find much info about this location online, and I'm wondering if it's frequently used by people crossing. It might help narrow down where Esau could have headed if he actually was left there. Also, the person who went back for him and didn't survive—has there been any official confirmation on their identity? The situation seems even more tragic if they made an effort to help and paid such a heavy price. Keeping Esau in my thoughts and hoping for any new leads on his whereabouts.
