I've been following the Chesapeake case closely because it's such a tragic situation for Kelvin Earl Smith’s family. I keep thinking about the fact that this happened in a parking lot shared by multiple businesses. It really underscores how things can spill into public spaces, affecting people who have no part in the incident. I hope other businesses in the area aren’t unfairly stigmatized because of this event since it appears to have been a domestic issue, as the police stated. I’m also left wondering about the impact on the community’s sense of safety—these places are supposed to be where people come and go for everyday activities, not scenes of violence. The owners of Long Shots Billiards must be concerned about their patrons’ feelings of security following a tragedy like this one. My thoughts go out to everyone affected, especially Kelvin's family who are left to cope with their loss. Hopefully, the police find Donelle Felder soon so that the family can have some semblance of justice. If anyone has any info, please consider reaching out to the authorities. Stay safe, everyone.
