I've been thinking a lot about Kenyatta Packnett's impact on the community, especially after seeing the turnout at the City of Love. It's clear he was more than just a resident—he was a beacon for so many in the 7th Ward. I didn't know him personally, but the stories people have been sharing about him paint a picture of a man who truly cared about his family and the neighborhood. It's hard to grasp how someone who touched so many lives could be taken away like this. Something else that's been on my mind is the speed of the investigation. It's encouraging to see the authorities working diligently to catch the suspect, which I hope brings some semblance of peace to his family. I saw they linked his case to another shooting involving a delivery driver. It makes me think about how interconnected these incidents can be and the ripple effects they have on everyone involved. I hope justice is served for both Kenyatta and the other victim, and that the Packnett family finds strength and support in this difficult time. They deserve to see the love he spread reflected back on them as they navigate this enormous loss.
