I just can't stop thinking about the ripple effect this tragedy has had on the Darboe family and their community. To have one brother lose his life and the other injured in such a senseless act of violence is beyond comprehension. Buba seemed like he had so much ahead of him - I mean, an economics major at Vanderbilt? That's no small feat. It sounds like he was on a path to really make a difference. The fact that the family thinks this was a case of mistaken identity just adds another layer of devastation. It's so unfair. I read that the police are working hard on this, but I hope they can find some real answers soon. Bringing Buba's killer to justice won't bring him back, but it might provide some semblance of peace to those who knew and loved him. I can't even begin to imagine what the Darboe family is going through, especially his brothers who were right there with him. My heart goes out to them all. Does anyone have updates on how the community is supporting the family or how the investigation is progressing?
