I can't stop thinking about the lack of security at the Park Eden senior living facility. With two violent incidents happening there in just one week, it feels like a huge oversight in keeping the residents and visitors safe. I can't even imagine how anxious everyone must be living there right now, especially with many elderly residents and families with kids. In this recent case with Tekeya McCollum, it's so baffling that she was even there since she didn't live at the building. I wonder if this points towards some larger issue with unauthorized access or if it's something unique about her situation. Whatever the case, the building management needs to step up their security game. It's not just about this single incident but about ensuring that things like this don't happen again in the future. My heart goes out to Tekeya’s family, especially her children who are now left without their mother. Such a tough thing for those kids to hear during what's supposed to be a joyful time of the year. They deserve answers and, ultimately, some level of peace knowing that measures are being taken to prevent further tragedies.
