Hey everyone, I came across the case of Jose, who went missing crossing the U.S.-Mexico border. One detail that stood out to me is that he was last seen between Sells and San Isidro. It's really concerning how dangerous this particular area can be, considering the rough terrain and the extreme temperatures. Does anyone know if there have been any search efforts organized there recently? I'm curious about the local authorities' involvement or if any volunteer groups have stepped in to help. Has anyone heard more about that rumor of Jose possibly taking a different route after being left behind? I came across a comment on another forum suggesting he might have tried to find a ride back to a nearby town. It makes me wonder how many people might have seen him along the way or what he could have done if he couldn’t find help. It’s almost like there are too many gaps in the timeline between when he was last seen and when anyone last heard from him. If anyone is local to that area, do you know if there have been any searches conducted off the main routes? I keep thinking about how easy it would be to overlook someone out in the desert, especially if they wandered off the path.
