I’ve been reading about Susan Reyes’s case, and something that keeps tugging at my mind is the layout of the apartment complex itself. The fact that Newport Village is such a tight-knit community should have yielded more insights into movements on that day. Neighbors would've likely noticed any unfamiliar faces or heard unusual noises, yet it seems like no one did, or at least, nothing's been reported. Understanding how the community is set up physically and socially might be a missing link here.
It’s really unsettling to think someone had enough time to ransack her home without drawing attention. I wonder if the layout of the apartment, and its distance from other units, played a role in allowing this awful crime to go unnoticed at first. Also, does anyone know if there were any security features back then, like cameras or on-site security? Maybe this info could help the police re-examine any overlooked details. I really hope Susan’s family finds the answers they deserve soon; it's horrible to be left with so many questions and no closure.
