I'm really struggling to wrap my head around the tragedy of Serenity's death and the chaos that unfolded that day. Something that's been bothering me about this case is how quickly everything seemed to escalate. From what I've read, it appears that the violence began so suddenly inside that Moore apartment — and before anyone knew it, more lives were impacted across the city.
It makes you wonder if there were any warning signs or tensions in the days or hours leading up to that morning. Did Serenity or her boyfriend notice anything off about their roommate? And how terrifying must it have been for her family to hear such unimaginable news so soon after her sharing her excitement about her new job and future plans? My heart goes out to them; I can't even begin to fathom the pain they're going through.
There's such a contrast between how her life was just beginning to take shape and how it all ended. If anyone has more insights on the dynamics between the roommates or has heard anything from people who knew them personally, I'd be interested to know more.

I’ve been following the tragic case of Serenity Burton, and something’s been on my mind. I've read about Deante Hawthorne, the roommate, and his involvement in the horrific events that took place. What puzzles me is how someone could live with Serenity and her boyfriend and suddenly commit such a brutal act.
From what it seems, he shared a home with them, interacted daily, and yet turned on them in such a violent way. Was there any indication that something was off with him? Did he have a history of violence that wasn't noticed? I feel for Serenity's family, who must be grappling with a thousand unanswered questions right now. ?
It's just so disturbing to think someone you live with, maybe even trust to some extent, is capable of such actions. Hoping investigators find more answers for her loved ones.
