I keep thinking about how tightly-knit communities like Cumberland are, and how much this tragedy must resonate through every corner there. From what I gather, Brian Johnson was a pretty cherished character in his circle—seems like he had a talent for lifting others' spirits. His love for nature and simple pleasures reminds me of so many folks from these parts, and it makes the situation feel all the more poignant. I mean, we might not know all the details of what led to this horrific event yet, but the outpouring of love and memories from those who knew him speaks volumes about who he was. It's hard to wrap my head around how anyone could bring themselves to commit such a grievous act. I just hope the community finds some peace and that the investigation brings justice and answers soon. Those who knew him deserve that much. My thoughts are definitely with his family and friends as they navigate this incredibly difficult time.
