I was just thinking about the location where this tragedy took place. North Patterson Avenue is usually a pretty active area, and it's crazy to think that such violence could erupt there. For those of us who have kids in the neighborhood, it's a chilling reminder of how vulnerable we all are. The police mentioned they don't think it was random, which somewhat eases the worry of a blanket threat to the community, but it still leaves so many questions. Why Denori? What was he doing at that specific spot at that time? My heart goes out to his family and friends, and I can't imagine what they're going through. If you've heard anything or seen anything that might help, please reach out to the authorities. The community deserves answers, and Denori deserves justice.

I know detectives have a tough task ahead, but I'm curious about how they’re handling neighborhood interviews. From what I've read in the forums, witness statements can really make or break these early stages of an investigation.
Have any forum members from the Winston-Salem area heard if the police are conducting door-to-door canvassing? I wonder if it's been difficult for them to compile eyewitness accounts, especially given that it happened at night. It’s such a terrible reminder of how important it is for the community to come forward if they heard or saw anything, no matter how small it might seem.
