It's so difficult to grasp the profound sense of loss surrounding the tragedy on Royston Street. My thoughts and prayers are continually with Yulan Wang’s family, especially the young girl fighting for her life. It's devastating to think about how deeply the lives of everyone who knew them are forever changed. I find myself repeatedly thinking about how such a loving household, the very heart of family gatherings, could become the site of such horror.
One can't help but wonder how a situation could escalate to this point, where someone felt so detached from the humanity of others. The community clearly feels the impact, as they come together to support the family. I've read about the local memorials and how neighbors are stepping up to help. It's a small comfort to know that even in such dark times, support and compassion still prevail.
