Did anyone else catch the detail about the toddler being in the apartment during the shooting? That's got to be incredibly traumatic, even for someone so young. I can’t help but wonder what the long-term effects might be on that child, being exposed to such violence at an early age. Hopefully, the family or whoever is caring for them now is equipped to provide the support and stability they need after such a chaotic and tragic event. My heart goes out to both families involved, especially Akinyele's—losing someone so suddenly is unimaginable. But I’m also thinking about Ealicia and how this will impact the child once they grow up and learn full details of what happened. It just makes you reflect on how these split-second actions can have ripple effects that last a lifetime.
