Hey everyone, I've been following the George Carpenter case for a while now, and something that's been puzzling me is the location where his Jeep was found. Fort Hunter Liggett is quite a distance from Laguna Lake Park where he was last seen. Considering George's dementia, I can't help but wonder how he would have ended up there, especially with all the winding roads and the lack of straightforward routes. Was George possibly familiar with the area near Fort Hunter Liggett? Did he have any family or friends there who might have drawn him to that location? It seems unlikely someone with cognitive issues would randomly end up that far from home. Also, does anyone know if there were any surveillance cameras along possible routes he might have taken? It just seems like such a leap without more insights into his usual routines or possible connections to that place. The discovery of the Jeep and Scooter being miles apart adds another layer to this mystery—how did Scooter survive all that time, and what trail did he follow to get to Gorda? I’m hoping maybe someone here has some insight or ideas on the geography or other strange cases in that area. Sending thoughts to his family and hoping for some answers soon.
