Hi everyone, I've been following this case closely, and something that has been on my mind is the role of public parks as spaces for community safety. It's truly troubling to think that Germantown Square Urban Park, a place meant for relaxation and enjoyment, was the scene of such a violent act. I can't even begin to imagine the fear and anxiety this incident has caused for residents who frequent the area. How can we better ensure the safety of our public spaces so that tragedies like what happened to Kendall Butler don't happen again? Maybe it's time for us as a community to think of ways to increase security, whether it's through better lighting, more patrols, or community programs that encourage safety and awareness. My thoughts are with Kendall's family and friends during this difficult time. They deserve justice, and I hope we can learn from this to prevent future tragedies. What do you all think? How do your communities handle safety in public parks?

It's not only the victim's family and friends who are affected but also those who found themselves in the terrifying midst of this senseless act.
