I've been following the case of D'angelo Akon Shaw, and it's just so profoundly saddening that the life of someone who had turned such adversity into triumph could end like this. What really struck me was Shaw's dedication to making a difference for others who struggled like he once did. His work with Heroes in the Sky demonstrated his commitment to helping fellow veterans find their footing after their service. It’s beyond comprehension how someone so devoted to giving back to his community and supporting others in their difficult times could be taken from us in such a violent way.
